Ping Music is an app that has been in development since 2020. It stemmed from myself and my brother being separated when he moved away to university on the other side of the UK. We went from seeing each other every day to only talking on the phone now and then, and so at points, it felt as though we weren’t a part of each other’s lives. When we were talking we would often default to talking about music which is something we have both loved since a young age.

Our conversations would span for hours on FaceTime discussing the good and bad parts of new albums or songs we’d heard in the past few days. We also found ourselves sharing new songs with each other which helped us expand our tastes in music. In 2020 when lockdown hit he moved back home and we discussed how amazing it is that music helped us stay connected and how people should be able to share the experience we’ve had. This gave birth to the idea of Ping Music.

We have developed our app to put the connection of users at its core as we believe music really has the power to open up the world to you. Currently being a few weeks out from our launch we’re super excited about the future of the app and what it can achieve but above all, we’re excited to see it act as a medium of connecting like it was for us!
